“Indian” multiplication does not belong to the generally used algorithms of multiplication in our schools. It is a pity because it has many advantages compared with the “classic” multiplication. This article not only calls attention to this fact but also offers several non-standard problems related to this topic. It is illustrated by concrete examples from the teaching practice.
