Dimensional analysis is a method for reducing complex physical problems to their simplest form before quantitative analysis or experimental research. Buckingham's Pi-theorem describes a formal method of expressing these simplest forms. Dimensional analysis is well applicable in many ways in research-based education. One of the forms is experimentation for students in order to find qualitative and quantitative connections between physical quantities through natural phenomena in order to discover valid physical relationships.
