The Special Theory of Relativity predicts several phenomena which, however, can manifest themselves in a different way to an observer due to the finite speed of light, the Doppler effect and aberration of light. In this article we concentrate on the length contraction. For example, we show that under certain conditions a bar on a photograph may seem to have the same length at rest as for a relativistic speed.
