abstract = {The content of the paper is the results of research taking
place in mathematics lessons of one class of the third year of grammar school.
It deals with the use of self-assessment mbrics within the thematic unit analyti-
cal geometly and their possible impact on the success of students in conceptual
tasks. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between the
use of self-assessment mbrics and smdents' understanding. Students consider
self-assessment as an essential part of teaching. The paper also contains a sam-
ple of the self-assessment rubric and feedback from students on the use of these
rubrics.},
