Hoaxes in politics and in science are mentioned. Following the progress in information technology the nature of hoaxes in the science is changing and fraud arising from the limited means of control disapperas. Nevertheless, new problem appears – it is connected with the extension of experimental research and the quantity of studied materials and structures. In that case published results cannot be examined independently. Therefore new reproducibility initiatives, esp. in biomedicine and nanoscience, are issued. Also a complex approach combining experiment, theory, computations and simulations is required.}, }
