The scientific background and broader connections of one contest problem from Mathematical Olympiad from the area of combinatorial geometry are in this paper. Many open questions are formulated, too. Solution of these requires maybe elementary methods only, but the answer is certainly publishable – perhaps in the most prestigious journals.
