N2 - One of the impulses that initiated the reform at schools on Slovakia were
dissatisfying results of our students in multinational testing TIMSS and PISA. A
good basis for new educational program in physics for primary schools proved to be
an international program FAST which thoroughly applies the constructivist didactic
theory. Modern educational programs in natural science aim to achieve scientific and
technological literacy. To achieve this aims it is inevitable that the strategies and processes
for students to adopt become a part of the educational content and process. Introduction
of scientific concepts is a discovery process, applying empirical model of
learning. This model is part of research and experiments realization, as well as pedagogical
strategy of concepts formulation in physics textbooks. Student’s experience
and its transformation on the level of science, it is a key principle of the entire physics
program conception for primary schools.
