abstract = {Due to the development of IT tools, growing computing power is
becoming more widely available at a cheaper price. This allows the application
of mathematical models for the purpose of simulation which has not been a
realistic option in some areas of education until recently. However, in recent
years a number of national and international survey evaluating papers reported a
certain type of crisis in the field of teaching science subjects, mainly in physics,
mathematics and chemistry. These two phenomena together draw attention to
the fact that application of computing simulations based on authentic models is
not only a realistic option, but should be used to be more effective in education,
even in the field of public education.},
