abstract = {Mathematical education of the last decade puts forward the development of mathematical skills and abilities instead of the traditional contentbased
teaching. To achieve it, the teacher-in-service can choose from plenty new-type school-books, exercise-books, interactive teaching materials. Indispensable
part of every developing strategy is the reflection and the evaluation. In this field we have deficiency – the evaluation of the students’ solutions are still based on mathematical performance. In our article, we would like to show some examples how to discover and follow through the appearance of mathematical competencies in the solutions of pupils, and to take it into consideration during evaluation.},
