Abstract
In one-to-one teaching, primary teacher Eva tries to explain to Peter, Grade 3 the topic "large numbers" using the textbook [3]. Eva's protocols of this experimental teaching are analysed and evaluated. The phenomenon of thr student's mathematical and the teacher's didactical mistakes is the centre of analyses. Several suggestions of how to help a teacher to overcome his/her didactical mistakes are given.
